About Us
The three I.T.E.C. diplomas in Reflexology, Anatomy and Physiology, Business Awareness and Professional Conduct are classed as level 3. These courses have been accredited as a practitioner course by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. This Government authority sets the new course standards for complementary therapies.
I.T.E.C. is internationally renowned for its high standards and thorough curriculum which results in such an excellent emergence of qualifying therapists. The accreditation being international is respected and honoured by most countries around the world, not to mention our own National Health Service. As I.T.E.C. works alongside the Government in setting the new standards for complementary therapies the course has been designed to meet these demands and hence fulfills the new criteria.
After qualifying, therapists will only have to undergo Continuous Professional Development (CPD) criteria as set down by their own professional bodies and not have to undergo any further training.
South Wales School of Reflexology is designed for the teaching of adults with a keen awareness of the fact that every student has a different lifestyle. We at the school are very conscious of the fact that mature students have other commitments and responsibilities and treat our students with the respect they deserve. Our school is independent of the LEA system or 6th form/colleges where you are treated as a pupil under school rules. South Wales School of Reflexology hours are planned to avoid holidays and give those working the optimum chance of completing the courses with the minimum disturbance to their own home life.
Learn with us and we assure you that you will have training to the highest standards, qualifying with one of the highest levels of attainment in complementary therapies, never have to re-train, be treated with respect in an adult learning environment, have the opportunity to practice on any number of patients at Sandville Court Self Help Centre. The cost of the course will soon be recovered when you are in practice yourself.
You only have to do this training once, so we highly recommend you do it right
The Staff Team
South Wales School of Reflexology was formerly known as Sandville Court School of Reflexology. Its principal was Howard G. Plummer. Mr Plummer established the school in 1994 at Sandville Court Self Help Centre and ran both the Anatomy and Physiology and Reflexology courses.
Clare Greenwood, the current principal, attended these courses in 1995 and after qualifying assisted Mr Plummer during the practical Reflexology sessions. From 1998 she taught both the theory and practical Reflexology and later Business Awareness and Professional Conduct.
Barbara Gaudry was taught by Clare Greenwood and Howard Plummer during 2003 and offered the post of teaching Anatomy and Physiology the following year. She has since taught Anatomy and Physiology at the school.
Dinky Kennedy came to Sandville Court School of Reflexology in 2002 and has become a full time therapist and teacher of complementary therapies since completing her training.
South Wales School of Reflexology has a staff experienced in teaching and practicing not just Reflexology, but an assortment of other complementary therapies. The results of Clare and Barbara's teaching are impressive with a considerable amount of students achieving the highest grades. Most importantly, many students have progressed on to making Reflexology an important stepping stone in their complementary therapy careers.
Other tutors are now being introduced to the school to offer other complementary therapies to I.T.E.C. professional status.
